An interesting colour scheme used on this small North London garden.

Nice mix of surfacing with Iroko decking Indian sandstone and planting.

We planted bamboos behind the waterfeature to try and create some screening to the properties beyond - and hide the shed.

A graphic row of beautiful painted hardwood pergola arches frame this long indian sandstone entrance path. Arches are set within a loose english county style herbaceous planting with boxwood to add structure and formality.

In the cross beam of the arches micro down lights have been installed to illuminate the path after dark.

An interesting way of dealing with the difficult sloped junction adjacent to the new cantilivered deck.

The Hebe are maintained as trimmed spheres contrasting the looseness of the grasses

Herringbone land drains have been installed at 750mm centres to help drainage on the heavy soil.

Top soil has been imported and pleach trees positioned and anchored using discrete underground guys

The formal garden is finally planted. Mature cones of Bay provide features along the entrance path.

The area is enclosed using pleached Hornbeam underplanted with a mixed hedge to reflect the rural nature of the scheme.

Colours are mainly burgandy and purple with Lavender and Nepeta edging the lawn.

Gates have been installed to keep the deer out of the new plantings

A dramatic roof terrace created high on a central london apartment building. Again using the large oversize polyproplene planters planted with white stemmed silver birch. Bespoke clay containers are planted with olives and burgandy colour foliage as underplanting to provide subtle screening to the dining area.

Specialised lighting provides drama to the scheme after dark.

The lake having been dredged of 140 tonnes leaf mould which had accumulated over many years. Waterlillies and fish were preserved in temporary holding tanks

After a long dry autumn the lake finally fills up with water and is ready for marginal planting. Fish and water lillies have been restored

To preserve the view across the paddock a HaHa was included in the scheme.

Wall of the HaHa in place using steel I beams and reclaimed railway sleepers.

Drainage was added behind the wall to take the ground water into the nearby stream.

beautiful roof terrace in central London

this small central London terrace was decked with hardwood Iroko boards and an inset timber 'cobble' detail.

Iroko planters were introduced to divide the space and planted with dark green shapes created from boxwood.

Luxury furniture with fluted detail and sumptous all weather cushions created a cosy area for entertaining or a morning coffee. 

Privacy was created using louvre screens around the boundary broken with panels of black stemmed bamboo.

These contemporary white polyproplene pots are around 1500mm diameter.

Filled with compost they make ideal planters for establishing mature 20 year old topiary underplanted with white lilies as a seasonal display. 

These planters were installed for a holiday celebration at the house and remain to this day.
